The City invited the public to participate in preparing a comprehensive plan for the City - which is done every 10 years or so for the City. The Comprehensive Plan, which will describe a vision for the future development of Hazelwood was last updated in 1998. The City wants YOU to participate in this process to help set priorities and make decisions that will determine how Hazelwood is developed in the coming decades. Planning Workshop #1 was held on August 8th.

You are now invited to attend Planning Workshop #2 on Oct. 10th at Civic Center East at 7:00 pm. This meeting will focus on setting goals and objectives that will serve as Hazelwood's vision for the future related to community development. We expect to have important discussion related to:

• How vacant land should be developed
• Where and how redevelopment should be carried out
• Long-term transportation needs
• Parks and other public facilities

And other issues relevant to the physical development, redevelopment and improvement of the Hazelwood community. Share with us your opinion about your neighborhood, your favorite places to shop and streets you travel. Share your thoughts and be part of the process.
