Despite the down economy, there is one business in Hazelwood that is expanding due to the growth in sales. Community Wholesale Tire Distribution, Inc., 9124 Pershall Road, is adding 61,000 square feet of space to its existing warehouse facility at a cost of $3 million dollars.

Luxco Expands Warehousing Operations
to Hazelwood's Park 370 Business Park
According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Luxco has signed a five-year lease for 213,558 square feet of industrial space at 1619 Park 370 Boulevard. HSA Commercial Real Estate, a Chicago-based brokerage and development firm, owns the building.

Competition Announced
Twenty-four competitors toughed it out in the blazing hot sun as they dazzled the judges and spectators with their stunts at this year's 4th annual Summer BMX/Skate Competition. The event was held at the Hazelwood Skate/BMX Park on June 18.

Campers Experience Close
Encounter with BIGFOOT®
Team BIGFOOT driver Jim Kramer was a guest speaker at the Hazelwood D.A.R.E./Risk Watch Camp, which started recently for 38 fifth, sixth and seventh graders. He brought with him the original BIGFOOT® monster truck, which may end up in the Smithsonian Institute some day for its role in starting a whole new industry of monster trucks.
