Winners of Summer BMX/Skate
Competition Announced
Twenty-four competitors toughed it out in the blazing hot sun as they dazzled the judges and spectators with their stunts at this year's 4th annual Summer BMX/Skate Competition. The event was held at the Hazelwood Skate/BMX Park on June 18.
Co-sponsored by the Hazelwood Parks and Recreation Division and PlanNine Skate Park, the event was open to participants of all ages for a $5 entry fee. A prize of $75 went to all the first-place finishers in four competition categories. Here's a list of the top three finishers in each category:
Skateboard - Age 15 & Under
1st Place - Chad Snow
2nd Place - Chris Adkinson
3rd Place - Asher Davenport
Skateboard - Age 16 & Over
1st Place - James Pilla
2nd Place - Corey Smith
3rd Place - James Gholson
BMX Riders - Age 15 & Under
1st Place - Mitch Proost

3rd Place - Keylan Jones
BMX Riders - Age 16 & Over
