The North County Churches Uniting for Racial Harmony and Justice (NCCU) honored Chief Wolf for his continued support of the organization's efforts to promote racial harmony and justice. According to NCCU President Rance Thomas, " Chief Wolf is someone who is committed to excellence and equality within his city and beyond, and has worked tirelessly to turn troubled youth around. We are proud to share this common mission with him."
NCCU is an initiative established by people of faith who envision North St. Louis County as a vibrantly diverse area, where residents, schools and businesses can flourish in an environment of dignity, justice and racial harmony.
NCI recently issued a news release announcing its 2011 award recipients who will be honored at its 34th Annual Breakfast on Friday, May 13, at the St. Louis Airport Marriott. This NCI award is presented to those whose efforts positively benefit youth, residents, civic organizations, or others through selfless acts.
Since its inception in 1977, NCI has played a vital role as a regional development organization which acts as a catalyst to define and advocate economic and community development for North St. Louis County. The Board is composed of community leaders and business owners. Ms. Patty Gould is the current Board of Directors Chair.
