The city of Hazelwood supports efforts being made by U.S. Senator Kit Bond and U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill to save Boeing jobs here in the St. Louis area.  The elimination of the C-17 cargo plane and cutbacks in production of the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jets would not only have a negative impact on the local economy in terms of job losses, but also in the nation's defense capabilities to produce the next generation of tactical aircraft, announced Mayor Matthew G. Robinson of Hazelwood.
