The Hazelwood Community Enrichment Commission will be hosting its 15th Annual Community Art Fair on Sat., June 2, at the Hazelwood Community Center, 1186 Teson Road (White Birch Park), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local artists, age 16 and older, are encouraged to enter paintings and drawings in oil, watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, pastels, pencil or mixed media. No sculptures, photos or computer generated items accepted.
Registration is FREE for all artists participating in the Community Art Fair. Admission is FREE as well for the public to come and view all the artwork on June 2.
All entries will be professionally judged in four categories: Landscape/Still Life; Real Life; Fantasty/Science Fiction; and Abstract/Non-Objective. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each category. Artists may sell their art pieces if the opportunity arises. Artists can bring up to six art pieces to put on easels they bring to the show. Artists with large pieces should have easels to accommodate their size. The artwork must be appropriate for people of all ages to review.
Entry applications are currently available at both Civic Center East and the Hazelwood Community Center. A copy of the entry applications can be downloaded and printed from your computer by clicking here. Advanced registration is preferred but entries will be accepted up to the morning of the Fair.
