Things at the St. Louis Outlet Mall are on an upswing with several new businesses moving in. One of them is the Rusty Wallace KART Experience, operated by the Rusty Wallace Racing Group, which will be taking over the former NASCAR Speedpark. This entertainment venue will feature up to 60 go-karts, designed like NASCAR sports cars, to give guests the thrill of a racing experience around the two tracks. The facility will also include a miniature golf course and an arcade room. The company is named after Rusty Wallace, a 55-time race winner, 2013 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee and one of the greatest stock car drivers to ever strap on a helmet. More details about this exciting new addition to the Mall will be coming out soon.
Other businesses that have relocated to St. Louis Outlet Mall include the following:
- St. Louis United Sports Academy – Leasing the old Nike store
- Midwest Clearance Center – Moved into the old Bed, Bath & Beyond
- St. Louis Blues Alumni Association – Leasing vacant space next to the IceZone
In addition, mall management has done an extensive job of replacing burned out bulbs and ballasts so the lighting is better throughout the building. The interim manager reports that leasing activity and interest has increased considerably in the past quarter which parallels with the construction boom going on in Hazelwood’s two industrial business parks, Hazelwood Logistics Center and Aviator Business Park.
