The Hazelwood Community Enrichment Commission is extending an invitation to all talented artists in the St. Louis area to participate in the 14th Annual Community Art Fair scheduled for Sat., June 3, in the Hazelwood Community Center. Event time is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participation is open to any individuals, age 16 or over. There’s no entry fee as well.
Artists are limited to 6 entries at the Art Fair. They should bring their own easels for display purposes since a limited number of them will be provided. Art pieces accepted include paintings and drawings in water color, acrylic, oil, pastel, charcoal and mixed media. No sculptures, photos or computer generated items are allowed. In addition, entries must be appropriate for people of all ages to view.
Artwork need not be framed or matted. Entries will be judged, with cash prizes awarded to the top entry in these four categories: Landscape/Still Life; Real Life; Fantasy/Science Fiction; and Abstract/Non-Objective. Artists can sell their work on site, but they aren’t obligated to do so.
Participation guidelines and registration forms are available at either Civic Center East or the Hazelwood Community Center. Or, they can be downloaded on this web page by clicking the link below. For further information, contact the Community Enrichment Commission at (314) 731-0980.
