Team Hazelwood Takes Plunge for Special Olympics Missouri

Hazelwood PD is teaming up with the Maryland Heights PD to support Special Olympics  Missouri and co-host a Polar Plunge at Creve Coeur Lake on Sat., Feb. 23.  The Special Olympics Polar Plunge is a unique opportunity to show some bravery as participants demonstrate their support by walking, running, or crawling into the frigid lake waters that Missouri has to offer.

Hazelwood PD has put together a team again this year and our participants could use your help.  All participants need to raise a minimum donation of $75 in order to jump into the freezing water.  If you would like to help, please follow the link provided below, find a member of our team that needs a donation, click on their name, and make a donation of any amount.  The site is secure and easy to use so don’t be afraid.  Any amount, big or small, is welcome and greatly appreciated!  Click here to go to Team Hazelwood’s donation page for Special Olympics.

If you’re available on Sat., Feb. 23, please come out and cheer on our Hazelwood Team as our Police Officers and Explorers run into the freezing cold water for Special Olympics Missouri.  It’s always a good time for a great cause!  There will be food, music and several of our sponsors on hand to visit with and enjoy.  Registration starts at 11 am and plungers will start freezing around 12 Noon.

Thank you in advance to everyone who donates to our team, and to those who have already shown their support for Special Olympics with a generous donation.
