Cabela’s in Hazelwood Sweeps Company Awards

Cabelas1To celebrate this momentous occasion, Cabela’s founder Jim Cabela and CEO Tommy Millner visited the St. Louis Mills location and gave away BIG prizes, money and vehicles to their store employees to reward them for their hard work, commitment and incredible sales success.  

Thousands of dollars in prizes were awarded to the store employees.  Eligible store employees were entered into drawings for prizes and 10 names were drawn as finalists for each award. Store employee Taylor Quallen won the Store of the Year Grand Prize, which was a 2009 Ranger 188VX boat, motor and trailer.  The Customer Service Store of the Year Grand Prize went to store employee Katie Adams.  She won a brand new Ford F-150.

The Cabela’s Store of the Year is awarded to the retail store that leads the company in operational efficiency.  The Customer Service Store of the Year is awarded to the store that provides the most outstanding level of Cabela’s legendary customer service.

The City of Hazelwood formed a partnership with Cabela’s to finance a Wildlife Museum inside the store for the following reasons:  to help drive traffic to St. Louis Mills; to generate additional sales; and to provide an educational experience for thousands of school-age children on a yearly basis.

Cabela’s is one of 12 anchor stores at St. Louis Mills, a 1.2 million square-foot shopping center.  St. Louis Mills provides the ultimate shopping experience with more than 175 outlet and value retail stores, entertainment and restaurants.  St. Louis Mills is located off I-270, north of I-70, Exit 22B (Hwy. 370).  Owned and managed by Simon Property Group, St. Louis Mills recently launched a “Mills Means More” marketing campaign to promote its value-priced shopping, brand-name stores and great entertainment.
