City Clerk

The City Clerk is the City's Election Official, Custodian of Records, and liaison to the City's Board of Adjustment/Architectural Board of Review and Board of Appeals. Record management is a major responsibility of the City Clerk's office, which includes the  Deputy City Clerk. The office is responsible for drafting ordinances, resolutions and proclamations; transcribing minutes; administering oaths of office; issuing liquor licenses; maintaining the Municipal Code and other City records; and fulfilling requests for public records. In addition, the City Clerk's office attends to the day-to-day operations of the City Council.

The City Clerk and Deputy City Clerk are actively involved in the Missouri City Clerks and Finance Officers Association at both local and state levels and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks because we recognize that keeping pace with the ever evolving municipal environment, economic concerns, and changing needs of our citizens is vital.

The City Clerk's office strives to provide complete and accurate information while courteously assisting Hazelwood residents, businesses, and employees. We provide an environment where it's possible for City officials and employees to work as a team to provide the best possible government for Hazelwood citizens.
