City of Hazelwood Announces Candidate Filing Period for 2026 Municipal Election
Hazelwood, Missouri — The City of Hazelwood announces that candidacy filing for the April 7, 2026 Municipal Election will open on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. and close on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Candidates must file in person with the City Clerk during this period. Filings cannot be accepted before 8:00 a.m. on December 9 or after 5:00 p.m. on December 30.
Council seats for Wards 2, 4, 6, and 8 will be on the ballot in 2026.
Nominating petitions are now available and may be circulated for signatures. Petitions and all required candidacy documents, however, may only be filed during the official filing window described above.

- Opens: Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
- Closes: Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
