Hazelwood, MO, Monday, December 30, 2019 – On Friday, December 13, 2019 at about 1116 hours, officers of the Hazelwood Police Department responded to the westbound lanes of Interstate 270 near Lindbergh Blvd. to investigate a shooting. The victim, Marvin Davis, was found deceased on the scene after being shot several times. The Greater St. Louis Major Case Squad was activated.

During the course of the investigation, three suspects were identified. Two of the suspects were arrested and the third suspect is being currently being sought.

Hazelwood Police investigators presented the facts and circumstances of the investigation to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Warrants were issued on the following suspects for the charges of Murder 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon:

  • Darrius A. Jones, 17 years old, of Ferguson, Missouri.
  • Courtland I. Kent, 19 years old, of O’Fallon, Missouri.

No bond was issued for Kent and Jones. Both suspects were transferred to the St. Louis County Justice Center, where they remain incarcerated.
